Lesson 21 – How much is this dress ?
Dialogue
Mrs Ashwell: Do you like this dress , darling ?
Mr Ashwell: Yes, it’s quite nice. But is it your size ?
Mrs Ashwell: I think so. But I must try it on in the cabin.
( After a while… )
Mrs Ashwell (looking at herself in the mirror): Do you think it fits me ?
Mr Ashwell: It does, it is the right size. But I don’t really like the material and the colour.
Mrs Ashwell: Oh, look at this one ! It is the same size and I think it will suit me better.
(To the assistant) Excuse me, miss ! How much is this dress ? And how much are the heeled shoes ?
Assistant: The dress is £55 and the shoes are £69.
Mrs Ashwell: Well, the dress is cheap, I’ll take it. But the shoes are a bit expensive.
Mr Ashwell: OK darling, they suit you so well ! Let’s buy them, you look marvellous in them. Will I pay with the visa card, a cheque or in cash ?
